Liam Hemsworth is ready to make his Muppets debut.

After much speculation that the Hunger Games heartthrob might be stopping by the new hit ABC comedy as a potential love interest for the freshly single Miss Piggy, this first look at Hemsworth’s guest spot, exclusive to E! News, reveals that he’s on hand to help everyone’s favorite weirdo Gonzo in the love department—only after being tricked by him and his buddies Pepe the Prawn and Rizzo the Rat, that is.

“This poor…whatever he is, if he doesn’t get this woman, he doesn’t have a reason to live,” Pepe pleads with Hemsworth as the hunk threatens to leave.
Eventually, Hemsworth comes around, admitting he’s been in lovesick Gonzo’s shoes more than once. “You were probably one of those awkward kids who had trouble with the ladies until you grew into your looks,” Rizzo says.

Liam deadpans: “No, I’ve been gorgeous since birth, but I have struck out a few times. Just at a super-high level.”

You’ll have to press play on the video above to see just what kind cockamamie scheme Gonzo and his pals have whipped up for Hemsworth to help him win over his online dating dreamgirl, Debbie. But trust us when we say: It’s bound to backfire.

Hemsworth’s storyline may come as a surprise to some fans who were hoping he’d sweep a particular pig off her feet. When the actor joined Instagram this past summer, his first photo was one of him and Miss Piggy looking into one another’s eyes with the caption, “Spent Friday with the most beautiful girl in the world. Kermit, #SorryNotSorry. #TheMuppets #misspiggy.” Looks like that love connection was strictly an off-camera situation.

The Muppets airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Australian actor Actor Liam Hemsworth took time to greet his fans, signing autographs and posing for pictures, before receiving the Golden Eye Award at the Zurich Film Festival on Saturday (September 26).

Film fans waited for hours to take pictures or get their posters signed by the “Hunger Games” star Hemsworth.

Hemsworth, who has seen his star rise in Hollywood, playing a leading role in dystopian young adult film franchise “The Hunger Games” and taking on action roles in “The Expendables 2” and “Paranoia”, told media he felt honoured to be part of the Zurich Festival.

“I feel very honoured, you know, I feel very fortunate to be part of this festival,” Hemsworth told media on the green carpet. “It’s, you know, a relatively young festival, I guess but something that’s celebrating and honouring filmmaking and yeah, I’m very honoured to be a part of it.”

After greeting fans on the “green carpet”, Melbourne-born Hemsworth headed for the Golden Eye Award ceremony.

Hemsworth walked up to the stage to receive his award, which recognises his achievements as “The New A-Lister”.

Speaking from stage, Hemsworth commented on his new film where he stars opposite Kate Winslet, saying he had been looking for an opportunity to do a film in Australia after spending six years in Hollywood.

“I sort of have been looking for a few years to do a film back in Australia. I’ve been working in America for the past six years and I really just wanted to go back and do something in my own accent. This came along and Kate Winslet was a part of it and that was the deciding factor. Yeah, it was just a great opportunity,” Hemsworth said from stage.

His new film “The Dressmaker” with Kate Winslet takes place in 1950s Australia.

The Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) has established itself as one of the world’s top films festivals, discovering and promoting independent voices and talent from around the world, showcasing a diverse array of international films and serving as the setting for many world and European premieres.

Sex scenes aren’t really all that sexy—just ask Liam Hemsworth!
The Dressmaker star, who plays Kate Winslet’s love interest in the upcoming drama, told E! News at the Toronto International Film Festival that it’s “always pretty awkward when you have to take off your pants in from tot a crew and other actors and all that stuff.”
“During the scene, it’s fine,” the 25-year-old actor clarified. “You don’t feel uncomfortable while the cameras are rolling.”
Once the director yells cut, though? “That’s when it’s weird and uncomfortable,” said Liam. (Watch the clip above to find out why things take a turn for the worse once the onscreen deed is done.)
