BUYER: Liam Hemsworth
SELLER: Matthew Wilder
PRICE: $6,814,350
SIZE: 1,980 square feet (as per assessor) 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms

YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: Last year his older brother, action flick actor Chris Hemsworth, laid out $4.8 million for fellow Australian Paul Hogan’s freshly rehabbed estate in Malibu’s Point Dume area. Now — so swears real estate yenta Yolanda Yakketyyak on her back stock of Lee Press On Nails — young Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth recently and surreptitiously shelled out a very grown up $6,814,000 for singer/songwriter Matthew Wilder’s multi-acre Malibu compound.

Check out Variety’s gallery for more details.

Your Mama dissed and discussed the property at some length nearly a year ago when Mister Wilder first listed the almost 7.5 acre spread with an asking price of $6.85 million so we’ll suffice to stick to just a few brief details. A long, gated drive crosses a creek and gently winds its way deep in to the compound to the front of 1950s era ranch-style residence worked over in a modern-organic manner with polished concrete and reclaimed wood floors, entire walls of multi-paned windows and doors and new-fangled high-tech systems.

The three bedroom and three bathroom residence is of undetermined size — the L.A. County Tax Man pegs it at 1,980 but that seems a bit on the wee side to Your Mama — and includes a over-sized entrance gallery combination living/dining room with brick fireplace, an adjoining sitting room, a step down den with catty-corner fireplace, and an eat-in kitchen with small lounge and commercial grade appliances as well as a walk-in fridge with frosted glass doors.

The back of the house opens to a roomy, multi-level deck that steps down to a simple, rectangular swimming pool and large, well-watered lawn. Other features of the property, as per listing details, include a professional grade recording studio, a detached writing studio, and a concrete barn/gallery.

GREENWOOD, Mississippi — Hollywood production crews are planning to turn the former Florewood State Park into an Old West frontier town as movie cameras and movie stars return to Greenwood this fall for work on a feature film.

The movie, “By Way of Helena,” is set to star Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson.

Crews could start work transforming Florewood as early as Monday. Filming is scheduled to take place mostly in September and October.

According to several online industry reports, the movie will follow Hemsworth, an 1880s Texas Ranger, who is dispatched to a mysterious, isolated town to investigate multiple dead bodies that wash up out of the river.

Harrelson reportedly will play Abraham Brant, a town preacher who appears to hold a cultish sway over its residents.

The trailer picks up right after the events of CATCHING FIRE, with the hovercraft that picked up Katniss landing in an industrial area. We see the late Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch talking to President Alma Coin, as played by Julianne Moore, emphasizing the importance of Katniss in the rebellion. However, Coin is fiercely unsure of Katniss as a leader. An unwavering Plutarch has no doubts and we see images of Capitol soldiers storming the districts and battles being fought against civilains (one in a forested area, with people being gunned down by soldiers). We get a quick glimpse of Natalie Dormer as Cressida (with shaved head and tattoos), looking appropriately badass, and a quick look at Gale (Liam Hemsworth), who are both decked out in dark combat attire. We see President Snow talking to his advisors and warning that anyone who mentions the Mockingjay will be dealt with accordingly, which transitions into soldiers rounding up and killing civilians from the districts. We then finally see Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), walking slowly into a large warehouse-type area, a bunch of grungy-looking rebels surrounding and watching her expectantly. The look on her face is that of intense fear. She, too, is dressed in a dark combat outfit, her quiver slung over her back, loaded with arrows. She comes to a stop, facing the rebels, who ask something to the effect of “will you fight with us?” and she says something to the effect of “I will.” Titles pop-up, Mockingjay whistles, and we’re ready for the “Games” to begin again.

The minute long trailer kicks off with a shot of a hovercraft landing in District 13. Inside, we find Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman) and Alma Coin (Julianne Moore), discussing Katniss’ purpose in the rebellion. Plutarch insists, “Listen to me. No one else can do this, but her.” Coin disagrees. “She won’t be able to handle it. The games destroyed her.” We get a quick glimpse of Natalie Dormer as Cressida rocking her half shaved head adorned with tattoos as well as Liam Hemsworth looking super serious as Gale while Plutarch continues, “We need to unite these people out there. She’s the face of the rebellion.” Just as he says, “They’ll follow her,” that’s exactly what happens. We get a shot of Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) from behind as she walks through the dejected District 13 community and slowly, they start to converge around her.

So … what did the trailer show?

It opens with Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman) trying to convince District 13’s President Coin (a gray-haired Julianne Moore) that Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) is the “Face of the rebellion” against the Capitol.

He adds, “No one else can do this but her … we need to unite the people.” Coin isn’t so sure, saying the last Games “destroyed” her.

We then get glimpses of Gale (Liam Hemsworth) in military garb and the first look at Natalie Dormer as propaganda photographer Cressida, shaved head and all.

But, it all culminates to a moment between Katniss and a injured boy — which as a fan of the books, we assume takes place during her trip to the hospital District 8. He asks her, “Are you here to fight with us?”

Jennifer Lawrence, dressed in a tactical suit, then stares at the camera and says, “I am … I will.”

It was all only a minute long, but definitely carries a lot of impact.

EXCLUSIVE: Before they return to dystopian Panem this fall in Lionsgate’s Mockingjay, sources say Hunger Games co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson will head West to shoot revenge action thriller By Way Of Helena. Aussie filmmaker Kieran Darcy-Smith (Wish You Were Here) is directing from the script by Matt Cook that made the 2009 Black List. Hemsworth will star as David, an 1880s Texas Ranger sent to an isolated frontier town to investigate a series of mysterious murders. There he squares off against Harrelson as a local preacher named Abraham who holds the townsfolk in a fearful grip.

Pic should be a treat for Hunger Games fans since Hemsworth and Harrelson’s characters haven’t yet shared the screen in the Lionsgate franchise. Filming on Helena is set to begin in September before Hemsworth and Harrelson hit the promo trail for Mockingjay, which opens November 21.

WME client Hemsworth has been working smaller indies in between Hunger Games installments and The Expendables 2 and last year appeared in Love and Honor, Empire State, and Paranoia. Harrelson is hot off HBO’s True Detective and will co-star in crime thriller Triple Nine for director John Hillcoat, also scripted by Matt Cook. He’s also set to return for the sequel to Lionsgate’s caper pic Now You See Me. He’s repped by CAA.

HUNGER Games star and global heart-throb Liam Hemsworth is lending his voice to a campaign aimed at reviving a stand-alone Phillip Island council.
Twenty years since former premier Jeff Kennett forced the island and neighbouring shires to merge into the Bass Coast Council, locals want to regain their independence.
Hemsworth, who is in Berlin filming Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, took time out to support a community rally tomorrow.
The rising film star, caused a frenzy in summer 2009-10 when he and then girlfriend Miley Cyrus ventured to his old home turf for a holiday.

Hemsworth and his brothers Luke and Chris — star of Thor and the rebooted Star Trek franchise — grew up on the island and the family are still there.
Chairman of the Phillip Island Stand Alone committee, Stephen Fullarton, said the brothers understood the beauty of the area.
